{"id":770,"date":"2014-03-23T00:34:39","date_gmt":"2014-03-22T23:34:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cos.sk\/?p=770"},"modified":"2014-03-25T14:54:53","modified_gmt":"2014-03-25T13:54:53","slug":"statistiky-z-cesty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cos.sk\/en\/770\/statistiky-z-cesty\/","title":{"rendered":"Statistics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Summary of our trip in numbers &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>458days <\/strong>from Provincetown to Buenos Aires<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">most of the time we were standing (208 days), bicycling (169), riding on a boat (49), hitchhiking (29), riding car (18), bus (17) a walking (13)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">we&#8217;ve visited\u00a0<strong>17 countries<\/strong> (USA, Bahamas, Haiti, Cuba, Mexiko, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">the most days we stayed in USA &#8211; 129 days, Chile &#8211; 63, Ecuador &#8211; 45, Guatemala &#8211; 34, Peru &#8211; 33 &#8230; 2 tiems we needed viza (USA, Cuba)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">except USA, Bahamas(EN) and Haiti (FR+creole) everywhere they speak Spanish<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">on bicycles we made <strong>8850km<\/strong> together\u00a0(900 on Cuba)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">other trasnportatio (boat, bus, hitchiking): <strong>16700km<\/strong> (catamaran 4000km)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">mostly we slept on boat (114 nights), at somebody&#8217;s place (108), in the tent (82 + 21x in camps), hotels and hostels (94), outside at somebody&#8217;s (24), in a car (7) and bus (6)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">most of the free nights were at Casa de Ciclistas 40x, warmshower hosts 16x, firemen station 14x, couchsurfing 6x, caravan 3x, army 2x, navy 2x<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">we met\u00a0<strong>126 cyclists<\/strong>\u00a0(most of them on Carretera austral, nice example is at <a href=\"http:\/\/rad-fernweh.de\/tour_12_panam\/12pa_content_people_06.html\" target=\"_blank\">Klaus webpage<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">we had<strong>\u00a0more than 30 flat tires<\/strong>\u00a0(most of them in Central America)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">we changed <strong>8 tires and 5 chains<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">we uploaded <strong>3500 photos <\/strong>to picasaweb, and made\u00a0<strong>7 hours of video<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">till now we wrote 86 blog posts<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">totla expenses are difficult to count because we were working the first 4 months but just during the time of travelling (without fly tickets) we spent approx\u00a0<strong>16300eur<\/strong> together \u00a0(<strong>17.30\u20ac\/day\/person<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; including all transports, insurance, accomodation, food, entrance fees, bicycles, &#8230;)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">the highest point we were standing at was the first summit of Chimborazo &#8211; <strong>6228m <\/strong>elevation and the highest bicycling was around 5000m in Bolivia<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">11 children were born among our friends during our travelling :)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Map of the trip (blue &#8211;
