Cesta okolo sveta/Slovenska (Traveling around the world)
In this podcast we are bringing back memories on our traveling in Americas. Each of us prepared one photo which reminds an interesting place and event which we then discuss together.
Jan chose a photo s with Mennonites who we met in Mexico.
Evit found a photo from Cuba where we spent couple days in Vinales with a family who lived in the middle to tobacco fields.
The podcast is unfortunately only in Slovak, but we promise to record one of the next podcasts also in English…
We decided to create for you (and us) podcasts, because we are so lucky that world is coming to us – many interesting people come to our place and we want to share this talks from our living room with you. These podcasts will be about traveling, cycling, barefoot and life.
This is episode 0. We had here two cyclists – Marlene from Canada and Mario from Spain who were on two week trip in Slovakia and stopped for one night at our place. We had nice conversations the whole evening and this is approx. 20min from it.

During our cycle trip around Slovakia I wrote a fairy tale – About a bear Misho with decayed teeth and about sheep Mishka who helped him. Our sons liked it so much I had to tell it almost every night for weeks :) After the return Evit edited it a little and together with Janko they drew illustrations for it.

Beginning of July 2019 we started a trip around Slovakia with all our kids on our Rusty. The plan is to cycle north up to Poloniny and then south back home.
We write updates on our facebook page. You can also see what we’ve done on Strava.
Already with two children we realized it would be nice to have a trailer for two. Now a third child is on the way and this will be a necessity. New 2-kid trailer is quite expensive and probably will not fulfill all our needs … so it’s a challenge for a new project :)
Why did we add an electric motor on Rusty and what were our first experiences cycling e-tandem with two kids… The article discusses also available options on market, reasons to choose the mid drive motor, programming of the BBS02 and practical tips which can be useful also for others :)
Since January 2018 we’ve been both at home :). Koloman was almost one year old and it was the time for a longer vacation. Italy was the winner destination and some friends joined us also. Mostly we traveled by car with Rusty waiting on the roof. But at the end we also enjoyed real cycle touring along the river Po. During one month we did 4000km by car and around 400km by bike… saw and experienced a lot. This is a “short” report… :)

It’s Christmas Eve. There are 6 people around the table but 7 plates prepared. The lone plate is not prepared for a nomad according to our tradition. In fact 6 nomads are sitting at the table and waiting till their guest comes back home – our warmshower… (Chrismas 2013, Coyhaique, Chile)
